Jonathan McGrath

Jonathan (aka “Jono”) supercharges the growth of the Origination & Execution team and is a part owner at Ark Capital. Alongside his Australian Credit License, his expertise is sourcing new lending opportunities and seeing approved transactions through from settlement to completion for all the various projects we offer.

With more than 35 years of residential, commercial and construction finance experience, Jono brings a down-to-earth energy to his work and loves how the Ark team has an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Speaking of which, he wishes people understood the value of security in first mortgages and the power of compound interest.

In the past, Jono held senior roles at Westpac Banking Corporation, Elders Finance and CBRE. He also caught the entrepreneurial bug and in 2005 opened his own finance broker business that was active in residential, commercial, business and construction finance.

When he’s not supporting our clients, Jono races on a yacht in Sydney Harbour in summer and in winter likes to ski the slopes with his family.
