After an illustrious 15-season stint as a professional footballer in AFL, Shane kicked off a now 15-year career in property, funds and finance. He led the distribution team at Fawkner Property, was an Associate Director at Deloitte, the General Manager of Commercial Operations at the St Kilda FC AFL Club and has a swathe of experience in sales and marketing in residential real estate.
As part owner and Executive Director of Ark Capital Funds, Shane leads our Distribution team. He infuses a high-performance and team-oriented approach into establishing and building relationships with investors and supporting the talented and ambitious Ark team who are just as passionate about growth as he is.
For the past 2 ½ years, Shane has attracted some of the industry’s leading advice groups to invest in Ark projects, which has contributed to Ark’s stellar reputation across the private wealth sector. Similarly, much of his time and energy goes into raising capital for investment into the Ark Wholesale Mortgage Fund and Bedrock Mortgage Fund.
According to Shane, investing doesn’t need to be complicated. Diversify your asset classes but don’t complicate it too much. This perspective is backed by an MBA in Accounting & Finance from Victoria University and a Bachelor of Science from Deakin University.
